Tinned pilchards are readily available in Jakarta, and they taste like I remember them in the UK. I gave the rest of them to my cats, but they refused them.

Just do sardines in the same sauce. They taste the bloody same.

A beautiful sandwich! Take out the bone that runs through, mash up with plenty of malt vinegar and put between two slices of buttered bread. Packet of pickled onion monster munch and that is a good lunch!
