The supermarket shelves are bare of these and have been for the last three months. What's happening? Nothing else will do. Just add salad cream and salad. But I can't get them anywhere now. This is a real food crisis.

I’ll check our Birdham Rd larder c1979
My mother grew up in Clydebank during the war so needless to say even if we had nothing else we always had about 30 cans of Glenryck in.
(and half a dozen tins of prunes)

Ha ha. Perhaps I should have just put Pilchards in Tomato Sauce on the 'words you never hear now' thread.

Air fried tin potatoes are so good, brushed with olive oil first...Mmmm...
Bob Mortimer has been doing an excellent job of encouraging folk to use the term trapped potatoes instead of the usual tinned potatoes.

Is this something you could get on board with?

Also, is it regular olive oil or extra virgin (asking for a friend).
