For someone who can't normally remember what day it is, I've been giving this way too much though.

Here's the criteria:-

- Striker.
- Either came through the yoof set up, or arrived from a club 'beneath' the Albion.
- Played well.
- Sold on for a profit to a team in a higher division.
(Or got to a higher division with said player)

The obvious answers

Ward
Zamora
&
Murray

I'm pretty sure Micky Small is in (and might even be a pointless answer)

I can't remember where we came in Terry Connor and Lee Chapman's careers.

Oh oh this is exciting I think I've remembered the obvious one I always forget.

Michael Robinson.

Chailey are you going to play the ball this time or still go after the man?

Right, so we have now opened it up to the past FORTY years?

Bristol Rovers had Zamora, Cureton and Roberts all at the same time. We are struggling to find better players than that over a forty year period, but Chailey is continuing to argue that we are not basically pretty shit at signing forwards and UTTERLY useless at bringing them through

This actual stems from my very glib comment to Bold, along the lines of:-

'I bet the Albion currently have more profitable centre backs, on it's books, than it's had profitable centre forwards in it's entire 118 year history'.

I'm just losing...

...just!!

Centre backs? We are the go to club for those I completely accept.

No chance, IMO, at least not to Cardiff.

He's lived in Brighton for donkey's years and clearly loves it. He's earned well throughout his career, and has another year of doing the same with the chance of further Premier League football and goals.

But, probably more importantly, Brighton is very well connected to London where he's spent a fair bit of time on media duties, something he's very keen to pursue when he does hang up his boots. Doing the same from Cardiff, whilst he sees out his playing days, would be an utter pain in the arse.

Exactly. He has had a good career. Just speculation but he must of been on 10-15k in the championship. Then 2 straight years in the Prem on 30-40k.

That's only 3 years of a long playing career. The man is a multi millionaire. Not sure he would be too concerned about his pension.
