I'm told that he will sign a new contract.
At around 7k a week.

Is he championship class ? I'm not sure.

He is TRHK, so I reckon he's likely to know about this sort of thing.

Personally I'm rather pleased. Cheers Dazza.

He is certainly Championship class, no doubt in my mind at all

If true I'll be proper chuffed. Championship class without a doubt, since he has been injury free everyone can see that the bloke is class

There's no doubt in my mind he's Championship class - and for a 'star' player striker in an ambitious southern-based club that sounds in the ball-park for a contract for that division.

I can see why some negotiations will be complicated for Brighton this summer. The new FL TV deal has been agreed at 25 per cent less than the last one, and it is widely acknowledged that Championship clubs will be hardest hit. The established clubs in that division are all going to be trimming their wage bills, and offering smaller new deals.

That may mean that for a new club arriving in, and more importantly for the players, the money is not quite what they were expecting.

My info came from another league manager
He wants to sign him but has been told he will sign
New contract at Brighton.
Just passing on info ! And I'm not on crack just asking
The people of NSC what they think!

I've got no interest at all in how much players get paid but if it's true about the new contract then thats great news!

I thought he'd be on more than that to be honest
So did I, but whilst he's always shown glimpses of the player he could be, this was the first full season where he has played like we all knew he could. I wouldn't be surprised to see an improved deal tabled if we're going well next season off the back of his efforts.

Incidentally, the average Championship salary is £200k, which only slightly more than half of what Dazza is suggesting is being tabled.

You were the guy who tweeted that Leon Knight has a new deal in the UK?

We'll know by his goal celebration on Saturday , if he brings both hands up to his forehead that means his agent is pressing for £10k a week.
