Born in Brighton, attended Mile Oak Primary School in Portslade and Portslade Community College. Signed for Albion at the age of 10, having played for ASC Strikers and Hove Rivervale. Won the cup with Brighton Boys. Had a season ticket at Withdean and his hero was Tommy Elphick. Couldn't be more Brighton if he tried.

(As for the Irish connection, he had a grandfather from Cork).

Fingers crossed Adam Thompson will be back in full contact in a couple of weeks, Glen Rea is available as well and will travel to Andorra to play for Ireland under-21s straight after the game.
