Yvonne from the Stadium of Light Communications Office has just rung to say we would be VERY welcome to bring the Giant Flag.

We can pass it above our heads at kick off and then some stewards will direct a few of us to carry it over to the seats in the neutral area besides us where we can tie it down for the whole match

If anyone can take it, can I suggest they contact me about arrangements for picking it up.

It's no longer kept in the Athletics shed behind the goal - so previous pick-up arrangements won't work!

It's crumpled, probably needs a wash and has a very small hole in a not very important bit of the fabric. But it's in fundamentally in good shape.

Before making its next trip over people's heads, it should be spread out and re-folded/re-rolled. We managed to do that at its last outing (Vicarage Road) without any great difficulty.

Now it has a new bag, it's likely to travel to and from games with less tangling occurring.

I think that the issue is going to be, due to the distance most sane people are either flying or catching the train.

I'm driving. Leaving Friday morning. Street parked overnight in Sheffield. Coming back Sunday. Limited amount of space left in car but, as a last resort if nobody else can take it, I could pick it up Friday morning.
