Giant Albion mosaic at Falmer?!

All this talk of sponsoring a brick at Falmer, why not create a giant Albion mosaic instead, like the one that Albion fan Warren Dudley did for the World Cup?

Link to World Cup mosaic here... BBC NEWS | UK | Chance for World Cup's absentees

I think Warren's flag featured 5,000 photos, I'm sure we could match that or go much better.

All we have to do is decide on an Albion image - the old Albion crest, for example, or a shot of the Goldstone? - and get Albion supporters to send in pictures of themselves that can then be used to create the mosaic.

It seems to me to be the best way to become a permanent part of Falmer, and it would give the opportunity for Albion fans who've passed away since the whole debacle began to be immortalised, too.

I'm on the World Cup flag and would be well up for paying to have a picture of me on a Falmer mosaic.

Thoughts?

Good idea, we're on the England flag too! Be good if they could make it a real permanent thing, there are products on the market that coud do it, what a great idea that would be.

Will speak to him once we've canvassed more opinion. The one problem I forsee is that it might be quite expensive to do and can it be added to at a later date?

A few years ago I supplied a huge Charlton Athletic logo printed on PVC (3.5m accross I think). The contractor was going to set it into the floor in the main entrance at the stadium, under a layer of transparent floor compound or something like that.

Do you know what they ended up doing with it?

As I said, I beleive the flooring contractor laid in my graphic into the floor, then laid a transparent top coat of some sort of liquid floor coating. So the graphic was under about 50mm of clear "resin". Sorry to not be able to give much more info, you'll need to contact a specialist flooring company for more details.
