With all the deals on unlimited calls and all you can eat data etc, etc, I'm seriously considering just getting rid of our home phone and just use mobiles one.

Anyone else live on mobiles alone?

By the seaside in West Somerset
Did it 12 months ago and whether I actually save much (maybe £10 or £15 a month) it is no more or less convenient and no-one who ever phones us seems to have really noticed.
Crucially we no longer recieve three or four nuisance calls a day

It can have a negative effect on your credit worthiness. Lenders like to have a line they can contact you on, which is a further proof that you actually live where you say you do. All because it is traceable.

Has anyone considered internet sharing with neighbours ? BT infinity has enough bandwidth to share amongst 3 or 4 houses.

I believe that when applying for credit extra points on credit scoring are awarded for having a landline

Have got a landline as part of a Virgin Media TV, phone and BB package, but don't ever use it, don't even have a phone plugged in anywhere. Don't miss it at all.

Haven't had one for 13 years. Don't understand why anyone would have one, can only assume its out of habbit.
