Gerrard for England Captain

He hardly plays. Parker for me, perhaps a short term thing, but def Parker atm.

Parkers rather over-rated in my view. Wouldn't complain if he was captain, not sure he's leader really. I'd give it to Gerrard, now he's fit again, he's bound to play. Whilst he's often not really done it at England level, everyone knows what he's capable of.

If Gerrard is England captain then it shows how far behind English football is. He wouldn't make Spain's second eleven because his control is not good enough. I blame the lack of 5 a side football with kids. As a result skilful players are lost for athletes. We spend time trying to turn athletes into footballers instead of getting footballers and making them fit enough to play football.

Certainly Gerrard or Parker. Both would be good Captains I think. Being captain would make a bigger difference to Gerrard's overall performance, but his injury problems are a slight worry.
