Germany 2006 - Advice Please

I'd like to attend the WC in 06. Never been to Germany and it may be a while before it gets back to Europe if FIFA send it round the globe in fair order after that.

I know how to get England tickets, but I really wanted to see as much of a WC as I could. A workmate of my wife's went to France 98 and she stayed for over 3 weeks to see as many games as she could and said it was blinding.

So how would I get tickets for the other games? Do I have to get them direct from FIFA or is there some other way that I could cheer on the whites but enjoy the atmosphere of other nations' games?

A lot of tickets for the smaller games should be available at the gates or on line at ticket offices. The bigger ones will be touted but I would not recommend getting them as they are all thieves
