First 4 were hyped so much, that it added to the big disappointment.
When Independence Day appears on tv now, it gets very modest * ratings, whereas a stack of other sci-fi and other films remain highly thought of ... highlighting it probably was overrated.

Not if the film holds my attention. As a rule I do not like big hollywood blockbusters though, I much prefer smaller independent films/British films/non action etc.
