I don't want to seem as though I am critisising the club but i got to say that the way they have dealt with ticket sales for Sunday has been pretty poor.

I mentioned on a previous thread that they could/should have commisioned either Wayahead.com or Ticketmaster or someone like this to manage tinternet/phone sales - This would have ensured that we sold all our allocation as Brizzle did.

10,000 tickets could have been sold this way, starting on Mon AM, meaning that the real supporters got 1st dibs on the tickets at the weekend.

I am now based in Manchester (for my sins) and it was pure luck which meant I was home for the weekend and was able to que for tickets at Withdean on Sat AM. Had I not been down I would have had to rely on someone else to get one for me.

And as for not even letting us know how many have been sold, Its possible they don't even know due to the shitty system by which they are being sold.

Anyway - enough ranting, I'm sure this won't change anything

COME ON YOU SEAGULLS!!!

BC fans have been complaining all week about the way City farmed the ticket allocation out to an agency so it's not all rosy that way!

What is a real supporter?

Wouldn't the money paid to ticketmaster be better spent on other things?

You could have put in a postal application.

Have you ever tried to book football tickets through Ticketshafter? They put this nice handling fee on them and then forget to send them out. At least twice I have had to go to Leicester Square to retrieve my tickets due to their cock up.

The reason the Albion have not used an agency to sell the tickets is the fact they would have had to pay them.

If we sell 31,000 tickets I'd say yes, but if we only sell 29,000 then you caould say the extra 2,000 ticket sales would have covered this cost + we get a full quota of support in Cardiff

Why do you think ticketmaster can sell tickets that the club can't?

The other problem is you would have had to give Ticketdisaster a sizable chunk of the tickets for your plan to be cost effective, say 10,000. Now bearing in mind the club were not charging hadling fees and sold over 20,000, can you imagine the moaning on here if you were forced to pay a £5 handling fee to the outsourced agent.

Ticket agencies are NOT the way forward.

To be honest, other then perhaps a little tweaking say, for season ticket holders I think the sale has gone pretty well.

All very good points, and wether we go with 29,000 or 31,000 is not going to make a huge ammount of difference anyway.

What we should do though is think towards the future and when we get falmer.

What sort of ticketing infrastructure will there be in place then. Hopefully not queing at 7AM every week!!

I dont think that security will allow us to sell tickets at the turnstiles, as was the case at the Goldstone.

If the club had given ST holders priority on the first morning (or day), updated the ticket office answerphone message twice a day, updated the official website and allowed tickets to be bought online they would have been able to sell out by now and pat themselves on the back for a job well done.
As it is, I'd give them 6 out of 10.

Ticketdisaster would have been a fecking nightmare. Don't even go there.
