You live in leafy Horsham and from everything I can work out come from a comfortable background. The reality for a couple from Whitehawk both existing on minimum wage is rather different. The idea they should have the child and if they can't cope... So we just hand these kids off to our BRILLIANT care system do we?

If you read my original post, I said I couldn't believe it that "so many would abort a child because it doesn't quite fit what they want.". I was not, as you believe making a sweeping generalisation about every person's circumstances, maybe my original post could have been worded differently but I was referring more to the fact that some do abort because they don't want the hassle. I do believe every case is different and sympathise with the couple you mentioned.
