Am I imagining things, or has he been a surprisingly decent pundit this tournament?
Seems to give quite a thoughtful 'inside' view..a b it different to someone like Shearer!

Quite odd that he said the Germans were going to win over the Portugese.

Maybe, as captain of Man United, he knows that Ronaldo is leaving, so was hoping they'd be knocked out so he could f*** off even quicker.

Or maybe, I'm just a little histerical.

Maybe it's just what he thought would happen and nothing to do with Ronaldo.

maybe its because that was his prediction, which turned out to be right

i'm not actually that suprised, always thought neville, aside from his taunting scouser moments, has come across as a guy with a fair amount of intelligence and infact knows the game pretty well

i reckon he could become a decent manager some day

I also thought that he was surprisingly good this evening, definitely better than Shearer, though that's damning him with faint praise.

My opinion of the Neviller also went up during Rio's hideous "merked" show, when he steadfastly refused to give anything to the (fake) police, who had trumped up a motoring offence, in order to get off the "crime".

Agree.
Good pundit, bad facial hair.

Agreed- Neville seems like quite a bright guy and a lot more pleasant than might be expected from seeing him play for MU. I couldn't have stood BBC coverage of last night's game, for reasons below. ITV is a lot better, though Sky commentary stands out compared to both terrestrial channels.

What has happened to the BBC? Lineker behaves like a giggling 12 year old girl, Shearer says nothing interesting EVER, Hansen imo displays racist elements when covering Germany and don't get me started on Ian Wright!! He actually had the nerve to say the BBC set him up as a clown...and then gets a job with Talk Sport! A case of 'by my own words I shall condemn myself' methinks.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
He wanted the England players to strike after Rio was 'mistreated' over his missed drugs test. Attempting to lead a players revolt.

It will take more than a cheery appearance on ITV for any redemption in my eyes. Not that he cares, I am sure.
