Thats one more team out of the running for promotion
They were never likely to be involved. Haven't seen them mentioned once as a potential top of the table team. Most bookmakers have them 4th/5th favourites to be relegated.

Monk was leading Swansea down when he was sacked. No idea where Leeds will be when he's sacked .

WOW: Leeds have had 6 managers since Jack Wilshere last completed a full 90 min for Arsenal.

Enormous and crucial difference between Monk, and those two - they were IN jobs when approached.

The Leeds job IS a big job, and you might get some points on your CV if things work out even reasonably well. If you're out of work, I'd say a risk worth taking.

If you are already in a secure job, and given that there was only a ONE year deal on offer at Leeds, you'd be a fool to take it. After the Leeds approach, Clarke signed a new FOUR year deal at Rovers the next day - so he at least did quite well out of it!

I think Darrell Clarke is in a win win situation with his new four year deal at the Memorial Stadium. A passionate bunch Brizzle Rovers fans, and a very well supported club they are too. Dark horses for promotion up to the Championship come the end of next season maybe.
