this story is unbelivable it really is gary giving up the cov job to look after his wife and her basically giving up her life for the sake of her unborn son just a pity it couldn't have a happier ending

rip :(

I remember hearing about Gary resigning from Coventry for this reason a few years ago. Sad to see that Mrs. McCallister lost the battle.:(

That's awful, especially leaving behind 2 young kids. The wife of the Wycombe Wanderers manager died of cancer last week too, cant seem to go a day now without hearing of someone who has died or is suffering from it.

:(

Very sad news:(

R.I.P Mrs McCallister

By the way, didn't a Wycombe midfielder die a couple of weeks back in a car crash on the way to training? How awful that was too:(

It wasn't on the way to training. As I understan it it was in a car crash one evening/night in Wokingham whilst he was out with some friends, they survived. Still sad though.

Very sad RIP

Also believe the Wycombe player died on the way to a match (FA cup I think) as they had a press release straight after the match. Could be way off here, but think the players knew he was in the crash before, but not that he passed away till after the match

I believe that cancer kills one in four people, in all its various forms, so it is likely that it will touch all of us at some time. It is however really sad to hear of someone who succombs to the disease at such a young age.
