If Mark McGhee thinks Adam Virgo will do a better job up front than JR or MM then I am prepared to accept his opinion as better than mine.

After all, he does see these players in training each day.

He has already said that JR, LK and MM are the same type of player. We need a target man alongside them, someone like Chris McPhee - who clearly isn't yet ready for 90 minutes.

If he really didn't think it necessary to play Virgo up front, he would have moved him back to defence in our current injury situation and not resorted to playing a full back at centre back and two central midfielders at right back.

Quite.

After all, we're 16th at the moment, taken 14 points from the last 8 games with very limited resources.

MM knows better than us what he's doing. He sees the players daily in training. And as for Virgo, he's done bloody well. OK, he's a defender by choice, but he's been a very good target man, and has got a mean shot on him.

Leon has got to get on with it (which I think he is now trying to do), and not moan about 'playing with a defender as a strike partner.

I would still have Gary Hart in my team though, but not at full back, because he was not tall enough and would probably play the opposition offisde by not moving up with the defenders.

I do not understand what MM is up to. Neither can the opposition for the first half. By the second half our opponents run all over our midfield. Lucky we are in the lead, but Gawd knows what happens if the other side scores first.

Harty always relied on pace but unfortunately he's never quite been the same since breaking his leg at Peterborough.

When Coppell was in charge, his crossing seemed to improve but once SC left, Harty went back to his old ways. He rarely beats a man and when he got the ball on the wing, the best we could hope for was a corner or throw in.

He has been great for the club and those who saw his first season as a striker will always remember the lift he gave us in those dark days. I'm sure he'll do a good job for someone in the lower leagues and wish him luck but I'm afraid it's goodbye from the Albion.

Have always been a big OGH fan, the way he helped us out at Gillingham to me sums him up big time. Huge heart, nice bloke and on his day a bloody good footballer.

I don't want him to leave cos when he does come on, he can really turn it on. Still, am a little concerned that his bench-warming will finally push him to ask for a transfer request.

Whatever, if he does go, we MUST give him one hell of a testimonial. He's an Albion hero.

It would be good if OGH came on and scored a hatrick against Leeds, and Kerry Mayo scored (in the Leeds net)!
