The man just keeps running. Always 100%. I thought his broken leg a couple of years ago spelt the end but i should never have doubted the desire and commitment that Gary has for playing for us. I pray that one day Leon will take a leaf out of OGH's book. Harty is what supporting the Albion is all about. Keep it going Gary.

Remember him scoring a superb goal at Priestfield when we were 0-3 down to Cambridge, and then he scored a good solo goal, and the Cambridge fans stood up and applauded him.

Also i read on the club website that he is at number 26 in all time Albion appearances!

Anyone have a list of the top 25?
The list of players who have made most appearances for the Albion,is on page 33 of the Millwall programme

I talked to Harty at the Albion Christmas dinner in 2003. It was the day after we went out of the Sherpa Van Trophy (or whatever the bloody thing was called) at QPR - the one where Leon Knight got booked after being twatted by Clarke Carlisle.

I drunkenly went up to him and just said 'thanks for everything you do, you're a legend, and it's great watching you play...' etc. He just looked at me with a semi-smirk and said 'nah, I don't really do anything - I'm not that talented, I just run around a lot kicking people if they get in the way...'

I mentioned the game from the day before, and his lips tightened and whitened. 'Where you there?' He went 'Are you going there for the league game next month? Are you? I am so-o-o-o looking forward to that one, let me tell ya. The lads have been talking, and I tell ya..., we're WELL up for it...'

What a guy.

I have had my doubts whether he could establish himself in the Championship, but he has proved me wrong. What he has done is learned and improved. His is the reward of hard work. He is not the most talented player, and is not the most intelligent, but he is wholly committed, and that can take you a long way.

And he was one of the bright points of the Priestfield. Shame him and Richie didn't play together more.

O.G.H. 100%er. Where would we be without his goals during the Gillingham years.

He's a player without parallel in the post-Goldstone history. Here's an entire thread without a single bad word about the man - could anyone else manage that? Maybe FDM, but he wasn't blighted by Gillingham. He is, without a shadow of doubt, a legend.
