Gary Dicker is one player I feel truly sorry for, the amount of stick he is getting lately is toatally uncalled for, he only broke his leg 10 months ago ok i know that sounds a while ago now but surely it takes time to get back to how he used to be? it wasnt long ago most fans were praising him and saying how good he was.

I think the only downside to his play is his pace but other than that he is one of the best passers of the ball in the championship IMO, he can turn out of tight spaces very well too.

But if Gus decides to keep Harley above Dicker and even Vincelot & Sparrow is way beyond me and even sending JFC out on loan to Oxford when he should be in the squad every week! JFC played two games last season and scored against Southampton and got Man of the match in both games he played, I really dont know what JFC has to do to convince Gus that he is up to the task!

And even bringing on Calderon in midfield last night was a strange one! you could of had Anton Rodgers on the bench to bring on last night, Sorry Gus but you do really make some strange decsions!

Go on Zamorra 25, humour me.

Why did you feel the need to start another thread about GD, when you could have added it to one of the many other threads? "Is there a Jonah in the team...." is only a few below yours.

Watching dicker attempt to go passed someone on the right wing last night was painful.

It's clear to anyone watching he's not cut out for this division, it's should be clear to Gus so god knows what goes on his head sometimes, Dicker does try, it's not his fault he gets picked.

He is an average Lg 1 player at the very best.

GD wasn't the worse Albion player on the pitch last night. Noone was diabolical, Harley was shocking, Dunk was awful, Dicker just poor - in my view

I wouldn't say Nooney was diabolical...His wing play was excellent and he looked a threat, but his ball delivery on cross was, last night and unfortunately, last season after his injury dreadful. However, Ryan Giggs had that problem early on in his career and I'm sure it's something Nooney can work on. I would also say that as a winger, you need a target to aim towards - he had NO target and this is our biggest problem.

In Nooney's defence, I do think that had Barnes or Toby have been playing as a centre forward last night or wed've had the likes of Vokes or Wood up front, then it would be easier to pick out a player to aim for for crosses...He didn't and so I guess it was kind of pointless playing a winger in that role...

Anyway, other than that...Harley has done nothing to change my mind that he is an average League 1 player...Dicker is Dicker. He was poor before he broke his leg last season and he looked as though he lacked any pace or agility last night...I'd much prefer Spaz and Vincelot.

I think Dicker does what Gus wants of him - he's said as much. This is why he'll be in and around the side.

The point is...Noone spoils any good approach play with a complete inability to cross the ball with any accuracy. He wasn't just over-hitting them, they were miles off...10/20/30 yards off target..not once or twice but over and over again. He can practise till he's blue in the face but he won't and can't improve this part of his game. He loses composure at the vital moment and cannot stay in control. It is part of his nature. It is not something that has happened post injury.
We have three wingers, none of whom can cross the ball properly. The only decent service our forwards are going to get is from the full-backs and Vincente, when he drifts wide.
Dicker is not a top 6 Championship player and neither is Harley.
