They will not get relegated as they are not far off a reasonable side with the players they have just a matter of getting them organised and playing. They have the biggest needs a goal scorer, provider and decent keeper.

They have only won 3 matches this season. That makes them a relegation candidate, even though they are surrounded by a fair number of teams in a similar position.
But their transfer embaro unless they sell big (ie. Rhodes, probably) will hold them back for strengthening in January.

Turned down c£3m from us for a very good winger in Marshall and have used him as an ineffective makeshift fullback.
Serious issues in terms of money and interference in team management.
Not sure it's a good place to rebuild a managerial career short term but if anyone can do it at this level I'd fancy Lambert to at least make a fist of it.

Interestingly, the whole backroom team has gone as well, which would suggest an announcement is imminent.
Moyes is apparently friendly with the MD at Blackburn who was Chairman of PNE during Moyes's time there.
But some papers are already reporting that Lambert is being lined up as replacement.

Moyes will be absolutely MINTED, he doesn't need to rush into a job like that, faffing about in the Championship with a failing club in terminal decline and idiotic owners. He can afford to bide his time and wait for a decent opportunity to present itself.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Lambert. Or Pearson.

I thought he did quite well, in the circumstances. Now they'll just be another club destined to decline as managers come & go.
