Isn't it nice 2 have 2 full backs that can actully defend? virgo seems 2 get better and better and not many get past him.Dan harding was fantastic on saturday and although i cant fault Kerry's effort he gets caught out far 2 much and his distrabution is attrocious(like my spelling) Harding's like a breath of fresh air.

And it's a sure sign the McGhee revolution is underway. I'm impressed with the way McGhee experiments and although it can backfire, at least young players are getting games and it feels like we are eventually moving forward again. It probably won't happen this season, maybe not next but we're slowly rebuilding a great side, hopefully with another one.

Coppell made short term fixes, McGhee will make long term ones.

So is Virgo the answer to right back then? I cant decide between him, Hinshelwood and El-Abd. El-Abd is in the Danny Mills category but then maybe thats a bit unfair to him, Hinsh I think is outstanding until he has to pass. However they are all good/very good players in the making. With repsect to Watson, it will really frustrate me if he plays much more ahead of these 3. He hasnt done it for 2 seasons and like I.G is saying, we are in a position where we can experiment without the risk of going down or losing our automatic spot. In a funny way, this could be more of an important season that either of championship seasons or last year. The sign of a good team is not only that can win leagues and be consistantly good, but can also break the team up and rebuild it which is what I believe we are witnessing at present.

I've always been a Watson fan, but, no disrespect to him, I think it's time for him to move on - as has been said, the options are there, we just need to find the best of the three. Also, Harding looks like having that role for many seasons to come, even if it is just early doors

Does anyone else think that the position of left back is the easiest one to play in, all u have to do is head the ball away and kick it up the line?

I know it sounds silly, but the amount of football I watch, its seems to me that whenever a left back gets the ball, all they do is look down the line, and play a hopeful pass into space for the forwards to run onto it.

Obviously when u get to the top Premiership and international level, ur expected to make sure you find your man, but at every other level, thats all they do. I think it explains why left back is such an easy position to fill

I'm sure Kerry mayo will really thank u for saying left backs the easiest position 2 play cos i wouldn't have said he's made it look like that at times this season.
