The missus has just found a bottle of white wine, frozen solid in the freezer. It was placed in there a few days ago to chill it, and was promptly forgotten about. Its now out and defrosting - will it actually still be any GOOD ? Or shall I carefully break the bottle and have a great big white wine LOLLY ?

Take care the bottle doesn't crack as it thaws, you will then have glass in the wine.

It'll be fine for cooking, Easy. But if it was any good in the first place, I reckon any delicacy in the taste and nose will be - how can I put this delicately? - f***ed.

Defrost it and drink it.. there might be a slight loss of flavour but how many times in your past have you ended up at a party drinking Cinzano Bianco or Martini Rosso neat at 1 in the morning ? it tastes like shit, but it gets you there ! Drink Up !:drink:

I'm still quite liking the POPSICLE idea. I could quite happily settle back in front of the golf highlights tonight having a good lick, whilst avoiding lacerating my tongue on any stray shards.

Good plan Surry Jim - except I think it might be a screw-top.
