My mates and I used to go out regularly in Brighton on a Friday and Saturday night.

Meet at the Volunteer.

On to Shades (Pavilion tavern); then

The Sussex or Druids Head;

Possibly the Deryck Carver;

Choice of Henekeys or Swifts;

Lastly the 'Coconut/Sherrys/Suite or Busbys; or

Al Fornos or Al Duomos for a Pizza.

Did anyone have a similar route for their pubcrawls?

Stories or anecdotes welcome.

You should have come in The Bosun, or later (after we all got banned) The Lamb and Flag. Great pre-/post- match times!:clap2: :drink:

Anyone remember Le Grandgousier restaurant in Brighton? You got about 6 courses on a set menu! Although I seem to remember one of them was raw vegetables from a basket. :(

I also remember an American burger restaurant that we walked all the way to Kemp Town for.

Did anybody ever go in The Boulevard which was a bar in the Odeon cinema in the mid to late '80s?

Or The Argyle which is now Squid and Starfish?

The Argyle was basically a pub with a dowstairs disco which was open til 2am:drink:

Blimey, with the amount of people drinking in Shades, if you were in there in the summers of 1989 and 1990, there's a good chance I might have served you. It was a brilliant place to work: nice other people behind the bar and, as for chatting up ladies, there was nowhere better.

Mind you, I now weigh about twice what I weighed back then...:(
Although I bet the rest you do as well! :)
