Spirits like Travarica,Loza, and Sljivovica were really good too.
A Pelinkovac brandy with double expresso first thing in the morning is a great pick me up especially if you have a hangover.

Absolutely love Croatia and have been going for many years even when Tito was alive.

Lovely people, great food and wine/beer,fantastic weather and much cheaper than most other countries in Europe.

Where abouts are you?

I went to Zadar a few years ago. Loved it. The food was really good and had a few Venetian influences including their take on that sweet and sour sardine dish.

I had a couple of bottles of Chalkys Bite last night. It's a Belgian Pale ale made by Sharps of Doom Bar fame following a conversation with Rick Stein.
Really nice. I can't do the "hints of caramel, nice mouthfeel" nonsense, but it had the characteristics of a Belgian ale, but you could tell it was a UK beer.

6.8% so drink responsibly
