I don't know if anyone in the Brighton area sees the same BBC South Today as we get here in Kent, but tonight they ran a story about the Gills giving away 3,000 tickets for their next home game.

Apparently Gills gates avarage about 7,000 which is pretty poor for a club having a having it's best ever period in their history. Although Priestfield is one of the smallest grounds in the league they rarely get it anywhere near full.

So in an attempt to counteract the declining support they are giving season ticket holders a free ticket each to bring a friend in the hope they will go again.

Whilst I am no great lover of the Gills, I think it's a shame that so many people from the Medway Towns journey to London to watch Premiershite teams when they could support a local team at less cost and still see some fairly decent footie.
