I used to work for a rather big blue-chip and I used to order tea and biscuits for my meetings. I was charged £25 a head for this. Some days I'd spunk a £1000 on tea and biscuits. Bonkers

On a serious note - if you can do it, do it. The situation where I needed blood rather desperately came completely out of the blue, and without wishing harm or misfortune on anyone you really never know when it might be you who needs the benefit of the system.
