Lampard's agent clarified this on Talksport late Thursday night, Jason Cundy knows him so called him to try to get clarity. Lampard hasn't signed for New York yet (never did) but will do in July. He is contracted to City directly but 'definitely' won't be there next season. There is no 'loan' or holding company etc. Several pissed off Chelsea fans rang in to have a moan about it afterwards........but at the end of the day he left because there was no contract offer from them (seems the club basically decided to go with Fabregas instead).

This is my favourite part of the whole business They act like it was his duty to not play for another English club.
