ok ok I know, my resignation isnt as exciting as David James, Sven, Magoo or any number of other high profile people, but following on from my announcement on Friday, I've spoken to our idiotic HR lady and our supposed new boss, they told us the office was closing in April next year. the options will be redundancy or relocation

I basically gave them a piece of my mind, my specially prepared phrase was that I've effictively been working for a shambolic shower of shit :lolol: a most satisfying moment

they didnt have the authority to grand me redundancy or to make me a firm offer on relocation so I said well your wasting your time then arent you . . . . .and walked out

I then went straight into my existing boss's office and formaly handed in my resignation, with holiday in Lieu I only have to work until next Wednesday then 2 1/2 weeks off if I want :clap2:

marvellous scenes

Lucy ? I don't know a Lucy :lolol:

I seem to have caused the most annoyance and stirred up the most shit, without harming my potential future re-employment hopes, having already secured another job does give you the confidence to tell it like it is, what a great feeling

I've also read the T's and C's of the new job and it loks like NSC is an integral part of the job description, well, it doesnt actually say that but it does say internet access is unrestriced and its my responsibility to be sensible about it, which obviously means a minimum of 1 hour per working day to be spent posting and reading on the good ship NSC :clap2: well maybe 3 hours on Fridays

Pah, I resigned 3 weeks ago form my job, and they're making me work my full 4 weeks notice, despite the fact I'm going to work for a direct competitor and will be taking most of my clients with me. I'm even going to appointments with my clients and taking new enquiries that will be fulfilled by my new company. Duh:dunce:

Think I would have hung around til next April for the redundo meself...

If it was worth more than a half pint of Fosters I might have done, but firstly my redundancy wont be more than the state minimum, £2k at best, and secondly, the (better) job I've been offered (28 miles closer to home) wont wait until then so I say go for it ASAP, and have a week off in the middle

Unfortunately cash heavy payoffs dont happen in my industry so one has to wangle the best they can given whatever the situation, this isnt the first time Ive been potentially in a sticky job situation so I think its panned out ok for me, and pissed on the boss's fireworks :lolol:
