McGhee is an excellent manager. And it's difficult to point at strange team selections when most of his tinkering has served us so well until now. If Virgo hadn't played up front as often as he has this season, we'd have been relegated by now.

BTW, what do you mean by the "'McGhee Out' brigade"? How many brigades do you know of, consisting of one or two muppets?

In the end, the fault lies at the door of the players. We've given away too many penalties, and too many suspensions in what is already a threadbare squad. That's a shit effort and the players need to take a look at themselves, otherwise we're all going to have to retract what we said about Ronnie Moore being a tosser. Because right now, he's looking like a footballing Einstein.

But some of the blame must lay at the manager and coaching staff's door for not ironing out the stupid mistakes that have cost us penalities etc in training? To be honest although not one of McGhee's biggest fans, I am amazed at how well he has done with what he has. However since February I have been stunned that we have dumped the 5-3-2 that served us so well in that 7 game unbeaten run and now we have had a 6 game losing streak.

Bet you wish you had not said after we beat Millwall that we were all but safe.

Indeed. But even if we had picked up just two draws (at Plymouth & Coventry) we'd be looking a LOT healthier than we are. I just didn't foresee the almost unbelievable absence of form since then. But then, did anyone?

I think that is true, but I will refer back to my point then that Coppell made that mistake in 1993 of saying Palace were safe with 4 to go and him and Alan Smith would have a few beers to celebrate. What happened next was the Scum lost their remaining games, Oldham won their's and Palace went down.

However it is not over until the Fatty Taxman sings....

When MM joined us last season i was not sure he was the man for the job. we dropped off top spot and struggled for a while but he lead us back up.

Now i think he is the best manager we have had. tactics and use of the tight resources has been great and it will be a travestie if we go down after the big scalps we have had.

I think MM can pull it out of the bag but if we dont with MM in charge next season we will bounce back
