the line that annoys me is "if we don't get Falmer,then i've slit my own throat" .As you rightly point out this doesn't make sense.Win a Championship and he'll be able to have so much more than R*ading.

It doesn't make sense to the point that i think he's making up excuses now for something he's already decided on.

I find it hard to believe that Falmer is his real reason for wanting to go. DK never promised him Falmer on a plate. Coppell would have kept in touch with developments (or lack of them) before he became manager, and therefore known the situation.

Clearly Brighton have inferior facilities at present, but Coppell knew that before he joined us. We are a top 2nd / bottom 1st division club, with Nationwide Conference facilities.

If the Falmer question was such a problem to him throughout his tenure, why didn't he leave anyway? It was a problem before Reading came on the scene, so why has he only admitted that it is a problem now?

What I am saying is: was Coppell lied to in order that DK snared him (unlikely - Coppell is not stupid enough to fall for that), or is Coppell throwing toys out of his pram for not having the facilities he has been spoilt with before?
