I have always thought that a team should put the ball out of play at the same point as it went out originally rather than pass it back to the keeper.

Wasn't there a game a few years ago, where the opposing team passed it back to the keeper only for it to go into the goal? The manager of team A then ordered his side to stand still and let team B score a goal to equalise. I can't remember who is was but fairly sure it was a west country team like Yeovil or Torquay?
