The computer I'm running it on is 5/6 years old, and runs the 3D match engine perfectly. Must just be your laptop.

Errrr no. It's the fact I'm running it at 32bit 1440x900 - anyone running it at higher resolution than 1024x600 seems to be having the same problem.

Appears the solutions are run it windowed, or don't play it.

And besides, if I can play COD 4, Crysis and every other game released in the past 6 months with no problems, then I have serious doubts about the quality of the code, rather than the machine..

Errrrr OK then.

considering its the first incarnation of the 3D engine you cant expect it to be perfect from the start as the simply cannot test on every PC configuration. I'm pretty sure SI will fix it in a future patch as they are very good at that.

My mac becomes utterly unresponsive as soon as I try and play a match in 3D, very unimpressed. Might try it again to see if it works in 2D, might not.

No, you see, this is exactly the problem. Game studios think it's acceptible to release a game which is nowhere near finished, while they make patches to make the game even playable. This is NOT acceptible, when you consider you are paying £25 up front for an unfinished game, which may not be playable until months after release.

This used to be solely a PC problem, now it's the case for internet consoles too.

The thing that pisses me off most about people that brand the game "unplayable" and say that SI shouldnt release it "half finished" forget that the game is played on almost "live" architecture.

Windows-any version of Windows is pretty much unfinished. I get pretty damn regular Windows updates and also very few of the bugs people claim make the game unplayable, I have ever suffered from.

Why dont you make a rival game if you think you can do better JC Denton-or perhaps just go and buy Champ.

Learn to spell acceptable.

By this logic, every time you've ever criticised an Albion player, we should say "you see if you can do better". What a load of bollocks.

As a paying customer since CM1 we deserve better.
