I'm not sure when you last dealt with BA but they automatically rebook into any fare class within the cabin.
A few years ago but I spoke to a mate who is still working and it happened earlier this week. He rebooked them on an earlier flight in a higher fare class as BA had rebooked on a later flight in the original fare class.

The RAF have scrambled some fighter jets to safely guide the aircraft to an unfamiliar destination.
good news. I wish the passengers on this Over-Easy Jet flight all the best.

Didn't this happen in France during the Olympics? The railway network was down or something. Russian sabotage suspected?
It's happening every week, ships dropping anchors and snapping critical undersea cables, the example you cited in France is one of very many that have happened since, all pointing to Moscow. Assassinations and brazen attacks all over Europe.

Last week confirmed huge deliberate fire at an ikea in Baltics attributed to them.

This is Hybrid warfare. This is how Putin tries to destabilise.

Just had a couple on the news who had been diverted into Glasgow. Easy Jet charged them over £900 to get them both back down to London
They said they had a wedding to go to, tomorrow. I know train fares are expensive but surely that would've been better?

I see it daily and BA will put them into the same cabin in whatever class there is at that time, I've just come off nights and there was a couple of cancellations, each one was over 90 percent in automatic rebooking, plenty in Y from G and on other airlines

Just looking at the location of the substation on Google Maps

If it was a hostile actor of some description, it's actually quite staggering that a seemingly vital piece of national infrastructure is so easily accessed, this is an open public road and just round the corner is a housing estate. While there's doubtless CCTV and the like, that place hardly looks like Fort Knox to me. Have we as a nation just been a bit complacent about all this stuff?
