In Haywards Heath, West Sussex, people are waiting to be rescued from flooded units on an industrial estate.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service has advised people to go up to the first floor of the premises, while a boat is found to rescue them.

Yup it floods every single year and yet the council still do sod all about it. Which is why I'm not surprised about today's events!:facepalm:

raining here in DN10 thats all !, the flooding in HH was always in the same place when i lived there, so nothing has changed !

Worst is supposed to hit after midnight, with more heavy rain & 75mph gusts of wind, so batten down the hatches.

We lived in Sevenoaks, round the corner from the seven oaks, when the hurricane hit in '87. Heard nothing during the night ... but noticed the bin lid had blown off on looking out of the window the following morning. :blush:

Rather a different picture on venturing out. Trees felled like ninepins. Unbelievable there were so few hurt. And yes, it was called 'Oneoak' for a while afterwards.:smokin:
