Actually, the sign IS in use - it's telling us that the big sign above it isn't in use.

This issue has now been resolved and the Queen’s Road and American Express Community Stadium branches of the Seagulls Store and Ticket Office are accepting Amex.

Am Ex cards - always charge the recipient per transaction - hence the card fee. I know they're our sponsors - but they are muggers.
