In my humble opinion, both El Abd and Virgo are carrying too much baggage for outfield players. Both these two tip the scales at the best part of 13 and a half stone. The management needs to take them to one side, tell them to cut out the gym and put them on a programme to lose about a stone.
Even big lads like Elphick and Hawkins weigh well under 13 stone.
I've been worried by our fitness levels for some time e.g the number of goals we concede in stoppage time at the end of each half and concentration goes hand in hand with fitness.
Sadly, you start to expect us to concede in 45+ and 90+whatever. ( Cheltenham, Leeds, Carlisle, Northampton, Scunthorpe, - there's 5 for starters )
As a squad, I don't think the players are as fit as last season..and although there are clearly other problems - this all helps to add to the general malaise.

ahhh but weight can be missleading. You see muscle weighs a lot more than fat so they may just be muscular; this does not contribure to their fitness.

Yes....there's a few lard buckets around and it doesn't go unnoticed by the fans...gives extra ammo to the disenchanted.
