Near the park.
You know, I used to go to the Goldstone regularly. Used to go away too. Seen the cup final and the replay. Then I went and lived abroad for a bit. And, when I returned, shrivelled, I did'nt come home to my beloved Sussex but rather moved West.

In these days of my dotage I support the Albion because it was my first football love 'til I die. It never leaves you. eh?

And bollocks to my new local teams. (except Rovers)

Now I support the Seagulls away.

Tomorrow is my first visit to a league match at the Withdean.

Hi miguelpea,

Don't worry about going to Withdean, it isn't at all intimidating, not like going into the North Stand at the Goldstone for the first time (it took me more than 5 years to pluck up the courage to go there), if you are worried then just pretend that you are going on a nature walk, as the ground is surrounded by trees on several sides it shouldn't be too difficult.

Just to make you feel at home all the people who used to stand on the east terrace and moan for 90 minutes have been transported to Withdean, there will be one sat behind you who complains if you sing or stand up, they will also slag off our players incessently.

Don't get the idea that it is all bad, the good humour of our fans does raise its head constantly, best if you are sat in the singing section and of course it is far better than travelling to Gillingham.

Enjoy your day out, up the Albion.

I think you will find that quite quiet is a little more than fairly quiet but less quiet than very quiet, I quite hope that this clears the matter up for you.

yes, yes, most thorough.

Do you think I should by a replica shirt?

All I ever wanted was a centenary shirt, but at the time I never got round to buying one.

How I regret it.

Best Albion shirt ever.

Yes definitely get a shirt If you can't get to the shop there is a mobile shop there with some supplies although not all sizes.

Actually seriously Withdean is very pretty (see RoyalAli's pics but it is a strange place for a football ground.

The pitch is excellent.

What stand are you in?
