all things being = should be able to get a pass out from the Mrs for Saturdays game I wonderd if some of you can point us in the right direction, we are landing early 11ish so we can have some bevs and scoff.

Whats the nearest boozer to the main railway station we are meeting up with some mates who are over your way for the weekend?

How long by taxi from City center to ground?

The station near the ground--Preston?? does the trains that go to London stop there or do we have to go back into Brighton Center.

Cheers.

NSC's Most Stalked
Pubs around Brighton Station -
Lord Nelson - Cheap drink, always full of albion
Railway Bell - right by station, got pool table, darts, big screen
Prince Albert - good food, big screen

Pubs around Preston Park Station -
Station Bar - cheap drink, pool, darts big screen
Preston Park Hotel - quiet, quite expensive
(both about 10-15 min walk from ground)

Pub at Ground -
Sportsman - big, good food, tiny tv (no sky)

Taxi would probably cost about £5 from town centre - but with traffic who knows

not all trains stop at preston park from london, but there are special extra trains that go between brighton and preston park before and after game

There's three or four pubs right outside Brighton station - you'll see 'em as soon as you come out the main entrance

Don't get a taxi from the City center to the ground. The traffic's dead slow and stop on a Saturday - it'll cost you a fair old chunk of money. Your match ticket includes a stub for free public transport - you can use it on a bus (5 or 5A goes from the town centre - get off where everybody else gets off) or on the train from Brighton to Preston Park (which takes about five minutes). Preston Park trains go straight to London tho they're a bit slower than the 'Express' trains from Brighton. Preston Park station is a fifteen minute walk from the ground and is well signposted.

You have not been charged for this service. All offers of three points gratefully accepted tho... :smokin:

You say "should be able to get a pass" - implies you are not cetain in which case have you got your tickets? Hope you realise all matches are all-ticket - you can't pay on the day

Ahem ... In a jocular fashion Mr Donnelly means he should get permission from his good lady wife to attend the ritual sacrfice of Barry Fry's Division Three wannabes.

Yes, I realise that! :dunce:

I was just making sure he knows he has to have a ticket - not everyone realises all our games are all-ticket.

Its not exactly common for a Div2 match - most places are pay on the gate for Posh's away support

Cheers 227BHA it's well known in Poshland that the match is all-ticket :)

Quite fancy us getting a result now seeing as you can't beat a bunch of dead beats like Rushden
