What is it with you people? you come on every thread insinuating how you are better fans because you were happy to watch Micky take us down,You say anybody who thought we needed a change of manager is a muppet, idiot or knows nothing about football. I am pleased because Micky had to go .O.K the Gannon saga was a bit of a farce but as soon as a decent manager is in place the club can start moving in the right direction.

The crowd at Withdean are the 12th man ........ for the opposition. Those who sit there in silence would have at least shown some vigour when they sat in the West Stand or stood on the Chicken Run at the Goldstone.

Can you think of fans of any other club that would put up with what we have had to this season. Fans of clubs like Sunderland or Newcastle give their players more stick if they are losing at half time, than we have given ours all season.

These fans that keep saying we have the worst fans in the league really make me laugh.
Have any of you ever been to any other clubs that have been struggling and listened to their fans? As for we are so bad at not getting behind the players is another joke. I have never heard any of our fans booing a player before he even kicked a ball, which used to happen regularly to Bobby Zamora when he came on as a sub at West Ham.
If you really think we are the only ones to have a go at our team then you really have not been to many grounds when a team is struggling.
Saturday was the pits for me, but I still didn't hear any booing, in fact in the south stand from the fans that still remained, there was applause at the end!!
These same fans who have fought so hard to keep this club alive over the last 15 years, your comments are insulting.

So let's get rid of Knight and appoint someone who wants the job, can do the job, and has the backing of the board .................. oh

Can we add this to all the other hundreds of posts that say we should get rid of the chairman, but have yet to come up with ONE realistic alternative

It amazes me that some of you think Knight makes the decisions.

I distinctly remember Dick Knight saying George O'Callaghan would never play for the club again. That sounds like him making the decision, rather than the then-manager. Said manager's departure also raises questions about Dick's judgement of a player's worth (Hammond) over that of his manager's.

Plus there's the question of who actually bought Turienzo, and the fact that Mr Knight likes to take credit for 'discovering' Zamora and Kazim-Richards.

Someone shouted at DK as he left on Saturday. Something like "Sort it out Knight" the stewards had a "word" with the fan.

You're making out that Knight didn't want Hammond. This is just not true. He didn't want him at the price he was demanding.

The Turienzo story is an urban myth, forever repeating itself at times like this.

Well who did buy Turienzo then? McGhee certainly didn't seem to rate him!

You have also just completely proven my point with Hammond. Dick Knight didn't want him at that price - whereas the manager did. Ergo, Knight was overruling the manager rather than supporting him as one would like to think happens.

If I remember the story, Knight brought Turienzo here on the recommendation of Brady.

But how much do we need Hammonds drive and goals from the midfield now what ever the price, that why Wilkins was the manager, there are few midfielder who are pound for pound better than Dean especially at Lge 1.
I am sure it could have been dealt better with by Knight after all he is a miracle worker.

I am getting old and my memory plays tricks on me, but did not McGhee say he did not want him (Turienzo) after a friendly at Burgess Hill?
