Seems the issue was the commercial-waste bag that his rubbish was in.
If it were a plain black bin-bag, I assume there would have been no issue.

It's quite refreshing to see a comments section where EVERYONE agrees.

Only took 5 comments before Hitler was mentioned too :lolol:

It would have been cheaper for him to chuck the crisp bags and water bottles out of the van window. Littering is cheaper. It's also a private firm that does the fining, not Council workers, they have to keep their takings up.

I read a report on this earlier and it’s pathetic. Even the council were supporting it as it’s a commercial vehicle.

The spirit of the law is about waste - commercial waste, not someone’s empty crisp packets and sandwich wrappers. Even if they are in an othwise empty building waste bag, it’s ludicrous.

I can’t believe there are any idiots who could condone such a fine.

He's a roofer and he's not got a rubble sack full of old tiles or felt, it's just rubbish from his lunch.
Bloke is doing no wrong here he's not chucked rubbish out of his van window.

this. he's got a fine for appearing to have commerical waste since he's used a commercial waste bag. thats the purpose of them, to identify commercial waste apposed to domestic.
