Has anyone been there?

What is the best way to get around?

Ta for help

All the Aussies go there, it's their equivalent of Tenerife. So any Aussie travelsite should tell you all you need to know.

yep ive been there twice.( work) hard job in the RAF.
stayed at the denari beach resort (sheraton) easiest way to get about was hotel or local taxis. I cant remember the price it was a few years ago, in fact we left a day late due to the attempted coup.

Kinky, I have been there twice, and can happily tell you that it is the best place on the planet. Absolutely fantastic place, with the most welcoming, friendly, honest people you could ever imagine. Cannot reccommend it highly enough. Only negative thing is you will get seriously bored if you stay longer than about three weeks or so.

When the Kava comes out and they offer you one, make sure you say 'high tide'. Or better still, tsunami!

If you can. make sure you go to either southsea or bounty island. If you want any more information let me know. Seriously, it if you wat a tropical beach holiday you will find nowhere better in the whole world.

Fiji time!

Bula!

What a great place. We stayed at the Sheraton Denerau too, and taxis are dirt cheap.

BUt for the real Fiji experience you need to get yourself offshore to the Mamanuca or Yasawa islands.

It is just a fantastic place.

Very true. If you get the chance, go on the Wanna Taki cruise. The single best experience of my year spent travelling.

Vinaka!

Depends what you're after- if it's adventure then dont go to Fiji, if it's lying about :smokin: and getting sunburnt then that is the place!

Personally didn't like the place. BUt then I only had 5 days there, and didn't travel around.

If your backpacking try http://www.feejeeexperience.com . There are simialar buses around New Zealand and Australia.

People either love em or loathe em.

Did the old green bus in New Zealand - It was good but I imagine you can get some right chavs on it at times!

The plan is to stay there for two weeks after Austraila and New Zealand.

Must say am looking forward to Fiji a lot!

Taxis are dirt cheap, stay away from Suva, definitely take a boat trip from nadi to the islands, day trip or two or three days, total paradise island stuff, and good prices too.

Spent a week ther last year before flying into the rain in NZ for the Lions tour..... would go back there like a shot, loads of aussies though.
