FIFA11 on PS3 Multi Player problems

Just gone on to play tonight with two players and it keeps freezing before getting to the game. My son says his mate has a similar problem. Anyone else had this and what's the problem?

Some players it's just impossible to connect with.
Been like that for the past few versions.
No idea why.
Nothing to do with connection, proximity, or anything.

I think its the latest update as mine is doing it sometimes as well.

Was only trying to play a two player game though with ourselves not online with anyone.

Is your console connected online? There might be a "title update" (patch) released.

Yeah, I've had the offline freezing multiplayer problem too. One technique that has worked for me is to re-assign the second controller to player three/four (on the ps3 home menu) and then start the game again. Hope this helps!
