Fiddling with pictures

Whats the best free software for fiddling with pictures, such as adding colour to bits of the picture.

This will be my first go at this, so needs to be very user friendly.

Gimp http://www.gimp.org/ is your man. Does same as Photoshop pretty much but for free.

I'll second GIMP that was recommended by Drizzlecake. It has all the features, with zero cost.

Once you have downloaded and installed, then Google what you want to do

"change picture colour with gimp"

Go nuts!

And I'll third it - had both Photoshop and GiMP and preferred GiMP for a lot of tasks.

That's because Limewire is crap, your better off using bit-torrent and you will get it in a few hours.

But I'd agree with using gimp tbh as this is the legal way to go, and a good alternative to photo shop.
