1.I like the term ' fickle fan anaemia'
2.Going to yesterdays game doesn't a cvnt make.
3.Having a different work/family life, I'd go to more games- I've got what I've got.
4.'Modern football fans'? it's modern football prices that are the problem. I don't have s*y sports- I'm a Brighton fan (actually more than a football fan, if that makes sense.)
5. I LOVE music and live music in particular- far more than football- and I detest spending more than £20 on a ticket for a concert, let alone £26 for football.
6. May I remind you we could have been relegated yesterday, quite easily actually- that's not glory hunting. We all could have left very pissed off.
7. Would you have been in a better mood if 5000 turned up yesterday and we stayed up? It was a great day- enjoy it.
8. Oh, you couldn't sit in the seat you had all season, just the one on your ticket (ie YOUR seat!) makes your rant a little childish.
9. Hurrah- away day to Southampton next season- I've got the bug back! Bring it on.
10. nice round number.

the original poster has made a point wich in some ways i can understand, there have been games this season at withdean that were truly void of atmosphere and cringeworthy to sit through,i also looked around yesterday and saw many faces that i hadnt seen all season but i do not bare them any umbridge and hope they return a few more times next year, what i did see is a ever increasing amount of kids in thier blue and white tops wich is fantastic,we could so easily have lost these kids to tv teams and the club has done a great job encouraging them to persuade thier parents to take them to a game, this club is a growing force not a shrinking violet like so many,i cant understand the negativity that you see on these pages sometimes but i guess thats just down to opinion.

Im sure the kids that were there yesterday will be asking mum and dad to be taken again at some stage next season so its not all doom and gloom,i for one enjoyed seeing the place full to the rafters.

Oh shut up you bunch of moaning little fools. Football at the end of the day is entertainment. Some people will have passion, some will just want to be entertained every now and the. PUT LIFE INTO PERSPECTIVE and think toy yourself, 'did i really just spend 10 minutes writing about my hatred for people i dont even know?'

Get over it, for goodness sake.

Couldn't agree more

People should remember that this is an entertainment business, and people are asked to shell out lots to attend.
Being a 'die-hard' doesn't get you feckin' MEDALS ffs, and there's a good chance that many of yesterday's attendees HAD witnessed us when we were shit and didn't ever want to subject their hard-earned on such wastefulness again!

The match was, however, a great opportunity taken to get fans back next season - albeit barely scraping survival from relegation it showed what it possible in a stadium with an atmospheric void.
Perhaps that full house vs Man City lured some back, but who can REALLY blame the newbies for losing interest when watching Adams' lack of managerial capability afterwards?

Where were they when we were shit? Probably ruing the wasted greenbacks, before spending them down the pub watching a Prem game.

I must say with all those people there yesterday, I missed out on hearing people yawning in the North Stand from the South.

There was definately something of the usual Withdean magic missing.

To the poster of this thread, get over yourself! So just because you consider yourself some sort of uber fan it seems no-one else is allowed to dip in and out and be a casual follower or fan of the Albion. What a short sighted twat you are.

wasn't really saying that people who dont go every week arent just a much 'proper' fans or that these people dont deserve to be at falmer. I enjoyed the game on sat and the atmosphere. I am glad we can rely on preople to sell out when needed and agree with most of the opinions on this thread. Dont really understand the anymosity towards me having an opinion. And for that I do appologise.....punish:

The 2for1 argus offer added a few to the number.

Maybe if the club had done something like that for one of the previous games it might have added to the attendance for say the Swindon game.
Grimsby Town did the same sort of promo for their last 6 home games (£10 adults , £5 kids & OAPs) as it looked like they were heading for the Conference. The result was they added 2,500 to the gate for every match which equated to another 15,000 tickets being flogged.

Does anyone share my discust in modern football fans?

Yes I do, which is why I don't bother going!

The internet, Euro 96, Sky TV and all seater stadiums have ruined the going to football experience which is why people pick and choose what games they go to.

Were you moaning in 91 when we took 35k to Wembley or in 04 when 30k came out of the woodwork to go to Cardiff? Would you have rather only the usual 6k turned up yesterday?

well the cue for the toilet was rather large and i was busting but no of course not...just waish we could get that sort of dedication every week but i guess i must acccept thats unrealistic.

I kinda see your point, but your first post was over the top. Its inevitably a one-way street - if the players deliver, the fans will deliver. I went to Walsall solely because we beat Hereford the game before, I didn't go to Colchester solely because we lost to Swindon the game before. Of course thats fickle, but thats the way it is. Its nice to know that we can sell out, and that we can make a noise at Withdean, and so yes, I agree it would be great if that happened week-in week-out. But life tends to get in the way.

Fair play to you for saying that, and I think you've used exactly the right word: unrealistic. The time to worry will be if we CAN'T sell out Withdean for a big game for take 30,000 to a play-off final. Then we'll know the Albion really doesn't mean anything to most people.

Brighton factually.....
The Original poster of this thread does not live in the real world. I like several other people who have replied on here live out of Brighton in North London, now take into account im married, the wifes pregnant and i need to work every other weekend this makes things difficult for me to go to games. They are in genral london or surronding area away games i attend. I have supported the Albion since i was 7 which adds upto 32 years in total. Now there have been varying degrees of how i have supported the Albion, ie mid 80s early 90s i lived in wigan/manchester and went to nearly every crappy away game possible and a few homes games when i could save my wages. Then i moved to London and i was with a partner now this will sound bad but i cared less about in a way, than my now wife....so i was down the goldstone every other week and of course the excile in Gillingham the club needed our support and i went to every crappy game there bar about 3.Since our move back to Brighton my circumstances changed and i met and married my wife, we have bought a house in london and i can only go to the odd game and my wife comes too......HEY GUESS WHAT I PICK THE BIG GAMES........WANKER.....! Oh and we are in the process of moving to Brighton so i can bring my child up in gods own country and maybe just maybe i may go to falmer with my new Family..................BUT HANG ON YOU DONT WANT "NEW" SUPPORTERS DO YOU...................WANKER......PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME MAD............IVE DONE MY TIME SUNSHINE AND IF NEW FANS LISTEN TO THE LIKES OF YOU THEY MAY WELL JUST SAY f*** IT I WILL SUPPORT SOMEONE ELSE.......WHEN WE NEED THEM TO FILL FALMER..................WANKER
