Palace fans have even made a website about the whole FFS Murray thing, pretty sad to be honest..

Welcome to FFSMurray.com

That night REALLY was their Cup Final wasn't it. I just cannot see that we would have made anything like this much fuss about it if we'd won. Oh well, I guess I'll see after we beat them at Smellhurst.

We would!

After we won 1-0 at Selhurst a few years back, they beat us at Withdean 3-2 in the last minute and I'd say our gloating and revelling in victory was far more prominent than their's. But yes, lets see what happens after we meet at Selhurst.

Was there a website set-up to commemorate the 1-0 win at their place?

But the circumstances this time were such that it obviously means a lot to them.

The first time in a long while, we are the bigger club playing in a fine, permanently sold-out stadium with expensively recruited players, having cast off one of our own who they eagerly snapped up. We were well ahead of them in the league and hadn't lost a league game at the game, then went in front. It then slowly turned into a nightmare, crowned by our cast-off scoring a deserved goal to round off proceedings with our stadium 3 quarters empty. And they completely outsung us.

From their point of view, they will never have it better than that. No wonder they bang on about it, and we'd have done exactly the same thing.

its just banter thought isnt it? i hate palace as much as the next man who really cares about a website that pokes fun at us... shock shock horror

I only wish our players had put some backbone into the match on the day, remembering that...even if they don't come from anywhere related to Brighton....it's our derby game.
the palace players obviously did give a monkeys, and it spurred them on to overtake us in the league.
It's more than a game of football on a saturday afternoon, and it's apparent that fortunes at either club were affected beyond that 90-odd minutes
