The problem is that many women would prefer to stay at home and do the housework rather than another job. My girlfriend for example. We had a little chat about that when we first lived together and she quickly realised she didn't have to work with me earning. She couldn't believe how understanding I was.

I would rather my missus went out to work and let me stay at home and look after the kids, go for coffee and chat etc etc. and I am not even a woman (yet)

The world has become over feminised. Take a look at modern TV (especially adverts) the man is most often portrayed as a bit of an idiot not really knowing what is going on, basically an extra kid for the smart woman (who has got every thing sorted and knows all the answers) to look after.

It makes me so angry I had to ask my wife to write this post for me.

I wrote this article about that very issue: Welcome - Podology :: Sociology Podcasts

A.

I suspect B is a well orchestrated propaganda effort by men to undermine feminism because they're scared of being on a level playing field.

B. Any decent woman I've known accepts the difference between the genders and wants a man to be a man.

And that's exactly how they get the power. Don't let them behind the curtain. My girlfriend would be shocked by some of the evil things out there if she ever left the house. And she cries enough as it is. Usually some stubborn stain on the floor that she can't get out.

WTF? Seriously?

There are stains your woman can't get out? That's appalling.

Tell me about it. And crying isn't gonna f***ing shift them. I don't say that to her I should add. Maybe its my fault for not pointing it out but she does shift them eventually.

A - Totally agree with it as a WORLDWIDE issue.

In Britain though I do believe there is a hell of a lot of things that work against men though and feel this is an issue that is very much ignored.

Have no fear, our car insurance prices are soon to be raised so we pay as much as you do. Everyone's a WINNER.

Yeah, women being paid a different salary to men for doing exactly the same job. Not really on is it?
I'm not so sure. Where Mrs G works the women seem to take an awful lot of time off sick in between being on maternity leave.

Fair enough. In no way am I saying that females are not victims of sexism now but I think sometimes sexism is only seen as a one way process.

I don't think sexism is a one way street, but I don't believe any of the examples in that article are genuinely sexist, nor do I believe that misandry is a growing endemic that has resulted from feminism, or is anything that society has to worry about just yet (if ever).

Fair enough, just opinions. I do find it a worry that we just accept men being under the thumb, being told when they can go out, that they need to 'get a pass' to go to the football etc. Also, there are more than a few mates (some of whom post on this site) that has been on the end of shocking divorce and child custody decisions when their partners were the ones that cheated. All examples of situations that if reversed would be seen in very different lights.

If anyone would like a masterclass on how to nip this sort of pernicious evil female black magic in the bud I'm happy to oblige. I'm pretty strong with power point and have done several presentation courses. I don't think I need to add that I have the authority. I'd bring the girlfriend as a case study but she doesn't really like bright lights and lots of people.

Feminism is a sound principle, women should of course be equal in most circumstances. Feminists on the other hand are akin to conspiracy theorists, try debating with them, they ignore statistics and facts which do not suit their argument and exaggerate small problems to suit their agenda. I have nothing against feminism as a concept, but I absolutely despise feminists. I havent read a single legitimate argument supported by good evidence by a feminist writer in a year of studying it, they all rely on boring cliches such as 'do you need a penis to do (insert job title)' etc.

Men and women are biologically and physically different, in some circumstances this means that one gender is more equipped to deal with a task than the other, this works both ways of course. You will never hear this fact come out of a mainstream feminist's mouth.
