Carol "i love it up the tail pipe" Smillie........ i'd bum her till her head fell off.

Yep, I'd certainly forgive her for being Scottish!

Wikipedia suggests that Connery grew up as a Celtic fan, then changed his allegiance to Rangers at some point in the 1990s

Also says he won't live in Scotland until it gains independence (and presumably grant tax breaks for exiled millionaire actors).

Great Scottish comedy duo, "fan dabi dozy"

The tabloid exposé about them being swingers was one of the most disturbing things I've ever read

Connery is one of those who bangs on about his beloved home country and how amazing it is despite not having lived there for half a century.

See also Stewart, Rod.

The thread is called 'Favourite Jockos' - so it's about people you admire who come from Scotland. What you're implying is a bit like suggesting that John Lennon could not be your 'Favourite Scouser' as he never went back to Liverpool.

That they rarely go (or went) back home is not the point! (Though I grant you, Connery's uber-nationalism is rather tiresome).

Worthing
Saw the Proclamers on saturday night, at the assembly hall in Worthing. I was a bit disappointed to be honest, musically brilliant, but absolutely no rappor with the audience, and frankly, didnt appear to want to be there

If we are working on dead people
Charles Rennie Mackintosh
John Smith - former leader of the labour party
Bill Shankly

And for alive people, the violin (fiddle) player Ally Bain, who used to be with the Boys of the Lough many years ago. One of the best musicians of any description or in any genre I have ever seen
