Minestrone, massive pot, pre-cooked gammon, packet of macaroni and tons of veg. Refresh and top up daily.

Top each bowl with loads of grated cheddar and you have a winter treat, frugal and delicious, stretched over about three days.

I’d like to stretch Nigella over 3 days...

My brother once tried boiling gammon in soy milk, the meat became rather bitter and insipid , he suggested that adding soy ruined the meat and he’d rather have it raw!

Christ. He must be immensely stupid. Who'd have thought you were the brains of the operation?

I know, I mean soy ffs, nasty bitter product, weak, pitiful and pretends to be something that it isn’t in the name of fads.

Soon the nights witll be drawing in again and salads will need to be replaced with something a bit more hearty. I always start to think of a nice piece of gammon at this time and Nigella's effort, steeped in coca-cola is my favourite.

How about you?

What a picture you have painted here.......the Lawson family, a big slab of pork and a roasting hot oven.

Bravo.

Let me guess, your next thread will be on soap?

Boil in orange sguash for a few hours, finish off 30 mins in oven covered with honey/mustard glaze.

Reet tasty.

Orange squash, or actual orange juice? Just wondering if it makes any difference before giving it a bash.
