Thanks Dick Head for posting one of the most underrated, yet extremely talented country singers of this century. The great John Peel knew a thing or two about music and he LOVED her. Great in concert, always understated, warm, friendly, fantastic

Thanks, excellent choice from the Almost Blue album, Costello’s diversion into Country music, recorded in Nashville and consisting entirely of classic covers - it certainly ranks as one of my most favourite albums of the 80’s. However, not the best musically and certainly not a typical genre for Costello but an absolute blinder if you like country. Here’s another track off the same album - an old Merle Haggard track
