I think it was when he came out for the warm-ups against Posh away. There were not many of us in the ground, but it was pure joy. Then of course he got the winner. First division here we come.

He did miss a penalty though.

Apart from that, Bury and Halifax for the goals.

Two for me. The Halifax volley was almost unbelievable, so that's got to be there. BUT...

we're closing in on promotion. There's thousands of us jammed in the away end. He's missed a penalty and is getting serious stick from the home fans. Second half, right in front of us. Turns and hits the winner on the volley to set off bedlam, then jogs back to our half cupping his hand to his ear 'coz suddenly he can't hear the home fans jeering.

Peterborough away, April 2002.

The chip against Wolves at Molineux and the goal against Reading at the Mad Stad have to be the best for me. I was there to see both and went mental both times

My favourite moment is when he smacks in the opening goal at Falmer against Reading. Although I quite enjoyed it when he completed his double-hattrick in the second half.

It marked the start of a great season, when we secured promotion to the Premiership by Easter.

Marvellous scenes.
